Key Qualifications:

• Current national certification as a Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician
• Successful completion of an accredited surgical technology program
• Minimum of one year experience in an operating room setting
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to anticipate the surgeon’s needs and respond promptly during procedures
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or ability to obtain prior to start)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment ahead of procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques throughout surgical cases
• Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses by passing instruments and providing needed supplies during surgeries
• Account for surgical instruments, sharps, and sponges before, during, and after procedures
• Ensure thorough cleaning, sterilization, and restocking of the operating room post-procedure
• Support patient safety initiatives and infection control policies at all times
