Qualifications & Experience:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Nursing - ORT credentials required
• Proven experience assisting in surgical procedures, instrument handling, and maintaining sterile fields
• Current BLS certification strongly preferred
• Familiarity with safety protocols and infection control standards
• Ability to remain composed and efficient in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare operating rooms for procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are properly sterilized and set up
• Assist surgeons, nurses, and other team members during operations, anticipating needs and passing instruments as required
• Maintain an organized and sterile environment throughout each procedure, ensuring patient and staff safety
• Accurately account for instruments, sponges, and sharps before, during, and after surgery
• Support preoperative and postoperative care through specimen handling, equipment maintenance, and accurate documentation
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and fellow techs to ensure smooth workflow and excellent patient care
