Operating Room Technician | Oregon City, Oregon

A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated healthcare professional with expertise as a Certified Surgical Technologist (ORT) to support surgical services at a respected Oregon facility. This 13-week contract position is ideal for someone passionate about maintaining high standards of patient care in a dynamic operating room environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• 10-hour shifts, Days: 6:45am–5:15pm
• Specific workdays to be confirmed during the interview

Qualifications:

• Current national certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years direct experience in the surgical/operating room setting
• Thorough knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile field maintenance, and intraoperative procedures
• Strong ability to work collaboratively in a high-functioning team, supporting surgeons, nurses, and other team members

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and available
• Assist surgeons and nurses by anticipating the needs of the surgical team during procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
• Handle and care for surgical instruments before, during, and after procedures
• Accurately track and document surgical counts and participate actively in room turnover
