Schedule:

  • 3 x 12-hour day shifts per week
  • 9:00am – 9:30pm (specific days determined during interview)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current BLS certification (required)
  • Active Surgical Tech - Certified credential
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in perioperative or related surgical technologist roles
  • Proficiency assisting with various surgical specialties
  • Strong commitment to aseptic technique, safety, and patient advocacy
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are set up and functioning properly
  • Scrub in and assist surgical team, anticipating needs of the surgeon and maintaining a sterile environment throughout
  • Count supplies and ensure no instruments are retained post-procedure
  • Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia staff to facilitate efficient case flow
  • Adhere strictly to best practices for infection control and safety protocols
  • Document activities accurately and report equipment or supply issues promptly
