Operating Room Technician - Painesville, Ohio

Advance your career as a skilled Operating Room Technician with this exciting opportunity to support surgical teams for a 13-week assignment. This role calls for expertise in perioperative nursing and certified surgical technology to ensure a safe, sterile, and efficient operating environment.

Schedule:

• 4x10 hour shifts: 7:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday
• On-call rotation: At least 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT or CST required)
• Active BLS certification recognized by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience as an ORT or Certified Surgical Tech
• Demonstrated ability to function well in fast-paced surgical settings
• Strong communication, teamwork, and sterile technique skills

Duties:

• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment for a variety of surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and nurses during operations, anticipating needs and maintaining a sterile field
• Verify and handle sterile supplies, instruments, and medications appropriately prior to, during, and after surgery
• Monitor and maintain accurate counts of surgical tools and supplies
• Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of equipment after procedures
• Provide safe patient care and support surgical teams effectively during routine and emergency procedures
