Operating Room Technician - Pelham, AL

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience in an OR environment highly preferred
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist, or significant experience for non-certified candidates
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to anticipate surgical team needs before and during procedures
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills with all surgical team members
• Commitment to patient safety and maintaining a sterile environment
• Current BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain if required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and surgical teams throughout operative procedures
• Prepare and organize operating rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques at all times
• Pass instruments and other sterile supplies during surgery with efficiency and accuracy
• Support patient positioning, draping, and other perioperative set-up activities
• Inventory and handle surgical instruments and equipment to ensure proper availability
• Collaborate with surgical, nursing, and ancillary staff to promote optimal patient outcomes
