Make a significant impact in a dynamic Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital by delivering expert support as a certified Surgical Technologist in a large, advanced operating room. This contract opportunity provides hands-on experience with a complex surgical caseload—spanning general, orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular procedures—using the latest equipment and best-practice protocols.
Schedule & Hours:
- 10-hour day shifts, 7:00am - 5:00pm
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Requirement for 6-9 call shifts per month, including holiday and weekend call rotations
Qualifications:
- For Surgical Techs: Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program; CST certification preferred
- For RNs (if applying to nursing role): Current BLS certification
- At least 2 years of experience in General OR; 5 years required for CVOR cases
- Experience in a high-acuity environment; first-time travelers may be considered based on prior experience
- Demonstrated competency in a range of surgical specialties, including cardiovascular and neurosurgery
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgical team in a state-of-the-art operating suite with 20 OR rooms and 2 additional cysto suites
- Scrub for a wide range of procedures: general, orthopedic, plastics, GYN, neuro, robotic, cardiovascular, and vascular
- Utilize cutting-edge technology (EPIC Optime, Alaris pumps, Phillips monitors, and Pyxis medication dispensing)
