Operating Room Technician | Pike Road, Alabama

Deliver vital support in a fast-paced, collaborative environment by assisting in surgical operations as a member of the perioperative team. This opportunity welcomes professionals skilled in Nursing - ORT, as well as certified and non-certified Surgical Techs. This contract role is essential to ensuring safe, effective procedures and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience in Operating Room Technology, or as a Surgical Technologist (certified or non-certified)
• In-depth knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and OR protocols
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and surgical teams during procedures
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient safety
• Current certifications or relevant credentials, if applicable
• Commitment to high standards of quality and care

• Contract role with scheduling details to be provided during interview process

Position Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgeries by ensuring that all equipment and supplies are sterile and ready
• Support surgeons and nurses during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment
• Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, reporting any shortages or needs
• Assist with patient positioning and prepping before surgery
• Accurately document activities and adhere to hospital policies regarding patient safety and care
• Participate in decontamination and cleaning after procedures
