Operating Room Technician - Pike Road, Alabama

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the surgical team as a scrub tech during operative procedures, ensuring the sterile field is maintained at all times
• Prepare, organize, and manage instruments and supplies for various surgical cases according to physician preferences
• Demonstrate proficiency with aseptic and sterile techniques in compliance with facility protocols
• Participate in pre-operative setup and post-operative cleanup of the operating room
• Support nursing staff with patient positioning, transport, and documentation when needed
• Adhere to safety standards and infection control policies throughout every procedure
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and ancillary staff to anticipate needs during surgery

Qualifications and Experience:

• Demonstrated experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or Surgical Technologist; both non-certified and certified candidates welcome
• Comprehensive understanding of operative procedures and surgical equipment
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
• Knowledge of aseptic principles and OR protocols
• CPR/BLS certification is highly preferred
• Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills
