Operating Room Technician | Pike Road, Alabama

Step into an essential surgical support role where your advanced clinical expertise and versatility are valued. This opportunity is ideal for surgical technologists—certified or non-certified—and experienced ORTs, who excel in high-acuity, multidisciplinary settings.

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday (6:30 p.m. start)
• 36 hours per week

Qualifications & Experience:

• At least 2 years of recent experience in a hospital surgical environment; not accepting candidates with just 1 year of experience
• Strong proficiency in trauma (excluding burns), neuro, general, vascular, ENT, GYN, urology, plastics, breast, eyes, and robotics (especially Mazor/DaVinci XI)
• Experience in ortho spine, general, and vascular procedures (Endovascular experience highly preferred)
• Certification is preferred but not required
• Ability to scrub for a wide range of specialties; open heart is handled by CVOR if needed
• Robotic surgery experience is strongly desired

Responsibilities:

• Scrub and assist in surgical procedures across multiple service lines, including trauma, neuro, general, vascular, and more
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio to ensure optimal surgical outcomes
• Use EMR (Cerner) and operate advanced surgical and medication-dispensing technology
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including OR assistants, desk assistants, first assists, charge nurses, and service line leaders
• Participate in on-call rotation for every service line except open heart (one weekday overnight and one weekend per month)
• Fulfill holiday shift expectations as required by contract

$1,462 - $1,591/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
