Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or Surgical Technologist
• Open to candidates with certified and non-certified surgical tech backgrounds
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical procedures
• Proficient in prepping operating rooms, setting up instruments, and supporting surgical teams
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced operating room
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, or willingness to obtain

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field before and during surgery
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team during operations
• Ensure proper functioning and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping in accordance with surgical protocols
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure optimal patient care
• Follow all safety and infection control guidelines
• Document procedures and maintain accurate records related to surgeries
