Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as an OR Technician, Surgical Tech (Certified), or Surgical Tech (Non-certified)
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control procedures
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and support staff
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress, fast-paced surgical environments
- Flexibility to accommodate procedural schedule changes and workload demands
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields before and during surgical procedures
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants
- Monitor and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and inventory
- Assist with the preparation and transportation of patients to the operating room
- Handle specimens, dispose of medical waste appropriately, and support procedural documentation as required
- Collaborate closely with surgical and nursing staff to ensure patient safety and seamless workflows
