Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Previous experience in an OR environment, with strong familiarity in sterile technique
• Proficiency in handling surgical instruments, setting up equipment, and assisting surgical teams during procedures
• Nursing - ORT skills or background highly desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support collaboration with surgical staff
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes situations with attention to detail and composure
• Commitment to patient safety, adhering closely to established policies and procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating suites by arranging necessary instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
• Assist surgeons and registered nurses throughout surgical procedures, anticipating needs and maintaining optimal workflow
• Ensure strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques
• Safeguard patient well-being by following protocol for infection control and equipment sterilization
• Maintain and track surgical instruments and supplies before, during, and after each procedure
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary OR teams to ensure smooth operation and superior patient outcomes
• Accurately document relevant information in patient records and reports
