Qualifications:

• Completed Surgical Tech Certification (CST)
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in the operating room setting or with perioperative nursing (ORT)
• Ability to adapt quickly to new protocols and surgical teams
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Previous travel assignment experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff throughout various surgical operations
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and counting of surgical instruments and supplies
• Monitor and maintain equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly
• Uphold strict infection control and patient safety standards
• Document relevant patient care activities as required
