Operating Room Technician | Prattville, Alabama

Skilled surgical support professionals are sought for a contract opportunity assisting in operating room environments. Candidates with experience as a Nursing - ORT, Certified Surgical Tech, or Non-certified Surgical Tech will find this role both challenging and rewarding.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Nursing - ORT, Certified Surgical Technician, or Non-certified Surgical Tech is required
• Strong understanding of sterile technique, instruments, and surgical procedures
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills within a surgical team
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure in fast-paced settings
• Current certifications such as BLS desired (if applicable)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures by anticipating needs and providing instruments
• Maintain a sterile field throughout procedures to ensure patient safety
• Monitor and account for all surgical instruments and materials during and after each procedure
• Support with pre-operative and post-operative patient care activities as directed
• Document relevant procedural details in patient records as required
