Operating Room Technician - Prattville, AL

This contract role involves providing expert support as a Surgical Technologist (both certified and non-certified) or Operating Room Technician within a dynamic surgical environment. Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Relevant experience as a Surgical Technologist (certified or non-certified) or Operating Room Technician
• Familiarity with sterile technique and operating room protocols
• Proficiency in preparing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with surgical teams
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Flexibility to adapt to varying surgical specialties and procedures
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and nurses during operative procedures by passing instruments and supplies
• Ensure all instrumentation and equipment are sterile and ready for use
• Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments throughout procedures
• Prepare and organize the operating room prior to each surgery; clean and restock after
• Adhere to all infection control and safety procedures at all times
• Collaborate closely with all perioperative personnel to provide seamless surgical support
• Respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations requiring urgent action
