Operating Room Technician in Prattville, AL

This opportunity is ideal for skilled Surgical Technologists (certified or non-certified) and Operating Room Technicians with robust trauma, neuro, general, vascular, and ortho experience, including strong robotics proficiency.

Key Schedule Details:

• 12-hour night shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Shift time starts at 6:30 p.m.
• 36 hours per week
• On-call schedule: one day a week (3 p.m.–7 a.m.), plus one full weekend per month (Friday 3 p.m.–Monday 7 a.m.)
• Holiday coverage required per contract

Position Qualifications:

• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role
• Certification preferred, but not mandatory
• Experience with trauma (no burns), neuro, general, vascular, ENT, gyn, urology, endovascular, plastics, robotics (especially Mazor/DaVinci XI)
• Strong robotics experience highly valued
• Open to first-time travelers with required experience level
• Ability to handle a wide range of cases, minimal pediatrics (typically ortho)

Role Responsibilities:

• Scrubbing and assisting on complex surgeries: neuro, trauma, general, vascular, robotics, and more
• Collaborate with renowned surgical, nursing, and ancillary teams
• Maintain best practices in sterile technique and operating room safety
• Contribute to a 1:1 patient ratio, ensuring focused and excellent patient care
• Utilize leading hospital equipment, including Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, and Spacelabs monitors
• Attend two-week orientation on days, including buddy call
