Surgical Technologist - Quincy, MI

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Previous hands-on experience working as an ORT and/or in surgical nursing support
• Comprehensive knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and safety protocols
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced surgical environments and support both surgeons and medical teams
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care excellence
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Schedule:

• Contract position; specific hours will be discussed during the interview

Primary Responsibilities:

• Set up operating rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies before procedures
• Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments and anticipating needs
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques while monitoring patient safety
• Prepare and manage surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
• Collaborate with the perioperative care team for optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure all surgical equipment is counted, documented, cleaned, and restocked post-procedure
