Contribute your expertise as a Surgical Technologist in a dynamic operating room environment, working closely with skilled Registered Nurses and surgical team members. Your role is essential in supporting safe and efficient general surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly handled and available to the team.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (Certified Surgical Tech)
  • Experience supporting general surgical procedures
  • Proficiency in handling, preparing, and maintaining surgical instruments and sterile environments
  • Strong understanding of infection control, safety, and hospital policies
  • Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and comfort
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize operating rooms, set up tables, instruments, and supplies according to surgical needs
  • Scrub in on general surgical cases, assisting throughout procedures
  • Confirm instruments and equipment function properly prior to use; report needed repairs when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of ORs; manage supply deliveries and properly store equipment
  • Respond to emergent situations following established protocols, notifying appropriate personnel as needed
  • Provide support for preoperative patients, ensuring sensitivity to their care and privacy
  • Assist RNs with admitting, transferring, and discharging patients from the OR
  • Participate in supply management and departmental task forces or audits
  • Train and mentor new Surgical Technologists within your core assignment when necessary
  • Attend ongoing educational programs; participate in job enrichment and career progression discussions
