Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or demonstrated expertise in Nursing - ORT
• Previous experience assisting in operating rooms or surgical suites
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile field protocols, and surgical instrumentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and the team
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient environment for patients and staff
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes
• Assist the surgical team before, during, and after procedures, ensuring patient safety is always prioritized
• Maintain the integrity of the sterile field and follow stringent infection control standards
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants during procedures
• Monitor surgical supplies and communicate needs to the surgical team
• Perform counts of instruments and sponges before and after surgeries to ensure accountability
• Support patient transport and positioning as needed
