Schedule:
- 4 days each week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Blocked scheduling available
- No weekend or on-call requirements (unless you’d like to pick up extra shifts at the main site)
- Floating within Surgical Services may be required
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and care for pre-operative patients, ensuring privacy and comfort
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques throughout the surgical process
- Prepare surgical sites and operating rooms, set up tables, instruments, and supplies
- Scrub proficiently in at least three specialty areas such as Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Robotics, or Titanium Rib
- Pass instruments and assist surgeons under nurse direction
- Ensure equipment and supplies are properly decontaminated, processed, and sterilized
- Monitor and control the surgical environment, maintain safety protocols, and participate in OR sanitation
- Collaborate effectively with the team, contributing to planning and patient care
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology or LVN/LPN program
- BLS certification from AHA (required)
- Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license (required)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
