An opportunity is available for a certified Surgical Technologist with strong experience in Level 1 trauma to support General Surgery at a respected Level One Trauma Center. This travel position focuses on providing expert care in a high-acuity Operating Room setting with diverse surgical specialties including emergency general surgery, burns, trauma cases, DaVinci Robotics-assisted procedures, thoracic, and liver surgeries.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting surgical teams in preparation and execution of procedures.
- Operating advanced surgical equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot systems.
- Participating in trauma and specialty team calls, including scheduled overnight trauma calls.
- Maintaining stringent sterile techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, with at least 3 years Level 1 trauma training preferred.
- Skilled in handling general, GU/GYN, orthopedic trauma, orthopedic joints, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatric, plastics, dental, and endovascular procedures.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR is advantageous.
- Strong teamwork, flexibility, accountability, and punctuality.
Schedule:
- Dayshift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Weekend rotation: 1 in 4
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Call requirements include one overnight shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) when scheduled on trauma or specialty teams.
