Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Previous experience in an operating room setting, assisting with surgical procedures
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection control standards, and sterilization protocols
• Strong understanding of surgical instrumentation and operative equipment
• Ability to respond quickly in high-pressure situations with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up necessary surgical instruments and equipment
• Ensure all surgical materials and equipment are sterilized and ready for procedures
• Assist surgeons and nurses during operations, providing requested tools and maintaining sterility
• Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies to protect patients and staff
• Accurately document procedures, counts, and supply usage as required
• Participate in the turnover and preparation of operating rooms between cases
