An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled professional with expertise as a Certified Surgical Technologist or Nursing - ORT. This role is based in a dynamic hospital setting featuring 637 licensed beds, Level 1 Trauma Center distinction, and a reputation as a Chest Pain and Stroke Center. You’ll contribute in a 20-room main operating unit supporting general, orthopedic, cardiovascular, neuro, plastics, and robotics surgeries.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 10-hour day shifts (7a-5p)
  • 40 hours per week
  • On-call shifts: 6-9 times per month (including weekend and holiday call requirements)
  • 6-week schedule cycles
  • 1 week of comprehensive orientation provided

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of General OR experience, or 5 years in Cardiovascular OR (CVOR)
  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Active BLS certification (CST preferred)
  • Experience with a broad range of surgical procedures including open heart and neurosurgery preferred
  • Will consider experienced first-time travelers
  • Previous experience with EMR (EPIC Optime), Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Phillips monitoring systems is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in a variety of complex surgical procedures across multiple specialties
  • Uphold safety, sterile technique, and best practices in perioperative care
  • Collaborate with an inclusive team of clinicians and support staff
  • Participate in scheduled call rotations and provide support during holidays and weekends
