Advance your career as a certified Surgical Technologist or OR Nurse in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. This contract opportunity provides the chance to work in a large teaching hospital recognized as a Level 1 Trauma Center and leading Chest Pain and Stroke Center, with over 600 licensed beds and a culture dedicated to safety, teamwork, and inclusion.

Schedule

  • 10-hour day shifts, 7:00am–5:00pm
  • 40 hours per week
  • 6–9 on-call shifts each month (including weekends and holidays), in rotation
  • 1-week facility and unit orientation

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a General OR; 5 years for CVOR procedures
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing or surgical technology program
  • Current BLS certification required
  • CST certification strongly preferred for Surgical Technologists
  • Experience with general, plastic, GYN, ENT, robotics, colorectal, ortho (joint replacement/trauma/sports/reconstruction), neurosurgery (neuro spine/brain tumor), and cardiovascular cases (valve replacement/open heart/vascular)
  • Ability to demonstrate skills in a fast-paced, high-volume OR setting

Role Overview

  • Assist in all surgical case types including general, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and cardiac procedures
  • Adhere to strict aseptic technique and infection control standards within 20 OR suites and 2 cysto rooms
  • Work within a unit focused on collaborative safety practices and mutual respect
  • Utilize advanced equipment: EPIC Optime, Alaris IV, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Phillips monitoring systems
  • Participate actively in call rotations and holiday coverage as scheduled
