This role supports operating room teams by ensuring seamless access to instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for a variety of general surgical procedures. Working alongside registered nurses and surgeons, you’ll play a vital role in patient preparation, intraoperative care, and maintaining a safe, organized environment throughout each procedure.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist
- Experience scrubbing on general surgical procedures
- Solid understanding of sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to respond efficiently to emergent situations
- Comfortable assisting with patient preparation and transport
- Proven attention to detail and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies prior to each surgery
- Scrub in and actively assist surgical teams, anticipating needs throughout the procedure
- Ensure all equipment and instruments function properly; report and document any issues as needed
- Follow departmental and safety protocols, quality assurance, and infection control guidelines
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges under RN supervision
- Deliver necessary supplies to units and keep all surgical areas stocked and organized
- Uphold patient privacy and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Participate in ongoing education, audits, and department task forces
- Support supply management by adjusting par levels and proper storage of equipment
- Mentor and precept new Surgical Technologist staff as requested
