Travel Operating Room Technician | Westbrook, Maine

This travel role places you in a dynamic, 26-bed Operating Room, where you’ll work alongside experienced surgical teams at a Level 1 trauma facility. Spending your days collaborating in a high-acuity environment means developing advanced clinical skills and gaining invaluable insights from a variety of leadership and team approaches. With a flexible 36-hour workweek on a 7a-7p schedule, and only one overnight trauma call per week as well as one weekend per month, you’ll have ample time to explore the local scene, relax along the coast, or enjoy Maine’s renowned food and arts.

Schedule:

• 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, 12-hour shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every 4th weekend required
• One overnight call (11:00 pm – 7:00 am) for trauma; specialty team call as scheduled

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ Level 1 trauma OR experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Proficient with Epic EMR
• Experience in general, GU/GYN, ortho trauma/joints, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, or endovascular preferred
• Reliable, flexible, and a proven team player

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assist in a variety of surgical procedures
• Maintain aseptic techniques and manage surgical instrumentation
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to safety regulations and hospital protocols
• Wear provided teal scrubs for professional consistency
