Operating Room Technician - Wetumpka, Alabama

Key Qualifications:

• Current experience as a Surgical Technologist (certified or non-certified), ORT, or nursing experience specializing in OR support
• Solid understanding of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and maintain a safe and effective environment
• Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit
• Flexibility to adapt to different surgical specialties and fast-paced schedules
• CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Schedule:

• Contract-based assignment
• Shifts will be scheduled in alignment with surgical caseloads; flexibility for days, evenings, and weekends is required

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments prior to procedures
• Assist surgeons and nurses during operations
• Handle specimens and maintain strict adherence to aseptic and sterile protocols
• Monitor supplies and ensure surgical carts are fully stocked
• Safely transport patients and provide support before and after surgeries
• Participate in equipment cleaning and room turnover between cases
