Operating Room Technician in Willoughby, OH

Step into a vital surgical support role, providing expert technical assistance in a dynamic operating room environment over a 13-week assignment. This contract opportunity requires a seasoned, certified Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician with a strong commitment to delivering top-notch patient care during perioperative procedures.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
• On-call responsibility at least one day each week and one weekend per month

Qualifications:

• Active certification as a Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of two years’ recent experience assisting in surgical settings
• Demonstrated proficiency in OR routines, sterile techniques, and proper instrument handling
• Excellent communication skills and adaptability within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures
• Assist surgeons and circulating nurses during operations, maintaining a sterile field throughout
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, handing instruments and maintaining organization during procedures
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of surgical counts involving sponges, needles, and instruments
• Support post-operative clean-up and restocking of surgical suites
