This travel assignment places you in a dynamic Cath Lab setting within a designated Level II Trauma and Chest Pain Center, recognized for its commitment to advanced cardiovascular care and education. You’ll gain valuable exposure to diverse patient populations, innovative procedures, and collaborative practices, all of which will strengthen your resume and further develop your professional leadership abilities.
Schedule/Hours:
- 4 x 10-hour shifts (0700-1730)
- Six-week scheduling cycle
- Call required: 1 day per week & 1 weekend every 4th-5th weekend (must maintain 30-minute response time)
- Weekend rotation and holiday coverage (discussed during interview)
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Proficient in circulating, administering moderate sedation, managing critical drips, and preparation/recovery of Cath/EP Lab patients
- Willingness to float to Prep/Recovery as needed
- Comfortable operating with Epic EMR and department-specific technology (e.g., BBG, ACT, Balloon Pumps, Impella)
Key Responsibilities:
- Circulate and monitor patients during Cath and EP procedures
- Administer sedation, titrate critical drips, and provide pre/post-procedure care
- Collaborate within a cohesive, autonomous department
- Float between Cath Lab and Prep/Recovery as needed
