Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts: 07:00 – 17:30
- Includes weekend and night call requirements
Desired Qualifications:
- Active NY RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of cath lab, procedural, or sedation experience
- Strong cardiovascular nursing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Adaptability to new environments and evolving patient care protocols
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, monitoring, and intervention for cardiac procedures such as left and right heart catheterization, coronary stents, balloon valvuloplasty, pericardiocentesis, structural heart procedures, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, and EKOS
- Serve as a vital member of the Emergency On-Call (STEMI) team
- Administer oral and intravenous medications safely, monitoring for adverse reactions during sedation
- Educate patients and families about post-procedure care, medications, and lifestyle considerations
- Manage documentation including patient consents, charting, lab results, and procedural notes
- Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to deliver optimal patient care
