Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • At least one year of recent experience in a Cath Lab setting
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong assessment, communication, and collaborative skills
  • Proficient in monitoring, assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures
  • Familiarity with conscious sedation and emergency response protocols
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes clinical environments
  • Excellent documentation and electronic charting abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placements, and other procedures
  • Monitor and respond to patient needs before, during, and after interventions
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure all equipment is prepared and functioning for procedures
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
  • Provide patient education regarding procedures, recovery, and follow-up care
  • Document patient information, interventions, and outcomes promptly and accurately
  • Assist in emergency situations as needed
