Deliver specialized, critical care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment as a registered nurse in the Cath Lab. This contract opportunity offers an engaging role for professionals who excel in cardiac procedures and thrive in collaborative clinical teams.
Schedule & Shift Details:
- 40 hours per week
- Four 10-hour shifts
- 8-week contract
- 8 days of on-call coverage, including one weekend every four weeks
Required Skills & Experience:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab nursing experience
- Previous Cath Lab travel assignment experience preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records system
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver proficient, patient-centered care during cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition throughout procedures, anticipating and responding to clinical changes
- Collaborate efficiently with physicians, radiologic technologists, and other medical professionals to ensure optimal outcomes
- Administer medications, start IVs, and ensure up-to-date documentation in Cerner
- Maintain Cath Lab readiness by adhering to policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
- Provide patient and family education pre- and post-procedure to promote comfort and understanding
