Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with good standing
  • Minimum of one year experience specifically in a Cath Lab environment
  • Proficient in pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient assessment and monitoring
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong critical thinking and effective communication abilities
  • Familiarity with cardiac monitoring equipment and protocols
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute/critical care situations

Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Monitor and document patients’ conditions, promptly addressing any changes
  • Assist physicians during interventions by preparing equipment and medications
  • Safeguard patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout all procedures
  • Educate patients and families regarding Cath Lab procedures, recovery, and discharge care
  • Strictly adhere to established protocols and infection control guidelines
  • Contribute to quality assurance and continuous process improvements within the unit
  • Participate in ongoing professional development as needed
