Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license with authorization to practice
- Proven experience working in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab
- Demonstrated expertise in monitoring, sedating, and caring for patients during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Comprehensive understanding of cardiac pharmacology and emergency protocols
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced clinical situations
Responsibilities:
- Provide top-tier nursing care throughout all phases of cardiac catheterization procedures, including patient preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, and recovery
- Safeguard patient safety by diligently tracking vital signs and promptly responding to any clinical changes
- Administer conscious sedation and medications per provider directives
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, and fellow team members to ensure smooth, safe procedural flow
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile field techniques and universal infection control protocols
- Meticulously document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic medical records
- Contribute to patient and family education about procedures, recovery expectations, and ongoing cardiac wellness
