Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; may require floating to other departments as needed
  • On-call responsibilities may be assigned during scheduled shifts

Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Demonstrated experience in Cath Lab nursing
  • In-depth knowledge of independent nursing and delegated medical functions, maintaining current practice standards
  • Strong assessment and patient teaching skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and document accurately per hospital and regulatory requirements
  • Flexibility to fulfill cross-departmental responsibilities as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures
  • Conduct ongoing collection and assessment of patient health data
  • Perform and document health teaching, counseling, therapy, and restorative treatments
  • Execute delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing guidelines
  • Refer patients for further evaluation or care as indicated
  • Review and monitor patient therapy and treatment plans, ensuring continuity and quality of care
  • Utilize resources efficiently and promote department goals
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization
  • Comply with all service behavior standards and documentation policies
  • Adapt to varying patient needs, including floating to other departments within scope and competency
