Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position; may require floating to other departments as needed
- On-call responsibilities may be assigned during scheduled shifts
Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Demonstrated experience in Cath Lab nursing
- In-depth knowledge of independent nursing and delegated medical functions, maintaining current practice standards
- Strong assessment and patient teaching skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and document accurately per hospital and regulatory requirements
- Flexibility to fulfill cross-departmental responsibilities as needed
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures
- Conduct ongoing collection and assessment of patient health data
- Perform and document health teaching, counseling, therapy, and restorative treatments
- Execute delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing guidelines
- Refer patients for further evaluation or care as indicated
- Review and monitor patient therapy and treatment plans, ensuring continuity and quality of care
- Utilize resources efficiently and promote department goals
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization
- Comply with all service behavior standards and documentation policies
- Adapt to varying patient needs, including floating to other departments within scope and competency
