This role offers the chance to work in a respected teaching hospital with 361 licensed beds and a Level 2 Trauma designation, exposing you to advanced cardiovascular and emergency care in a collaborative team setting. You’ll deepen your expertise while expanding your clinical skill set across diverse cases—from chest pain and interventional procedures to electrophysiology ablations and device placements. As a Cath Lab RN, you’ll engage with a culture that values autonomy and teamwork, working alongside leading providers.

Enhance your resume by gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology such as BBG, ACT, Balloon Pumps, and Impella devices, all within a high-acuity environment supported by the Epic EMR system. This assignment also allows you to rotate through prep, recovery, and procedural areas, providing a comprehensive view of cardiovascular care and exposure to multiple leadership styles.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 4 x 10-hour shifts (0700-1730)
  • 6-week scheduling cycles
  • Call: 1 day per week and one weekend every 4th–5th weekend with a 30-minute response time
  • 70% holiday coverage (holiday scheduling discussed during interview)
  • Weekend rotation and RTO requests by manager approval

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong skills in scrubbing and circulating Cath/EP procedures, moderate sedation, titrating/managing critical drips
  • Experience with prepping/recovering patients (float to prep/recovery as needed)
  • Familiarity with EPIC highly preferred
  • Open to first-time travelers

Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and scrub for Cath and EP procedures
  • Prep/recover patients, administer moderate sedation
  • Manage and titrate critical drips
  • Provide patient care in collaboration with a high-autonomy, team-oriented department
