As a travel nurse specializing in the Cath Lab, you’ll immerse yourself in a region known for its cultural attractions, historical sites, and welcoming atmosphere. This role provides the chance to work alongside renowned clinicians and leaders, deepening your expertise in complex procedures while gaining exposure to a variety of workplace practices and leadership styles. Schedule:
- 40 hours/week: 10-hour days, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Required to work 2 weekends per 6-week period
- Call requirement: 8 weekdays and 2 weekends per 6-week period (may occasionally be more)
- Flexibility to float, including to other nearby medical centers as needed
- Adult and geriatric patient population
Qualifications:
- Active RN license and ACLS/BLS certification; RCIS preferred
- Minimum 3-4 scrub procedures with ability to circulate
- Recent experience in Cardiac Cath Lab procedures: balloon angioplasty, thrombectomy, stent and filter placement, left/right heart catheterization, pacemaker/defib device placement
- Interventional radiology experience: stents, angioplasty, hemodynamic monitoring, vascular studies
- Electrophysiology expertise: cardioversion, pacemaker insertion
- IV start skills; experience with special equipment (EKOS, CSI)
- Familiarity with EPIC, Mac Lab, Pyxis, SBAR, Siemens Artis 1 x-ray system
Responsibilities:
- Scrub, monitor, and circulate for advanced cardiac and vascular procedures
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Float as needed to provide comprehensive patient care
