An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in cardiac catheterization procedures to support invasive cardiovascular care. This contract role offers a 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts and requires weekend availability. On-call duties are shared, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a 30-minute response expectation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and patient care support during cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.
  • Assist physicians with radiological imaging and maintain sterile fields as a scrub assistant.
  • Operate imaging equipment and document procedural images and events in the control room.
  • Educate patients and their families on procedure expectations, pre- and post-procedure care.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order within the unit, ensuring adequate stock for interventions.
  • Accurately complete documentation including daily notes, progress, and discharge details.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives by identifying potential hazards and recommending process enhancements.
  • Uphold organizational mission, vision, values, and service standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license (single state or compact).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiac catheterization or related nursing.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA-approved) required.
  • Ability to respond within 30 minutes when on-call.
