Travel Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab - Cohoes, NY

Schedule:

• 7:00am – 5:30pm
• Participation in weekend and night call rotations required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert assessment, monitoring, and intervention during cardiac procedures, including left and right heart catheterization, coronary stents, balloon valvuloplasty, pericardiocentesis, and more
• Operate specialized equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, and EKOS
• Participate as an essential member of the Emergency On-Call (STEMI) Team
• Safely administer oral and intravenous medications, manage patient sedation, and rapidly respond to adverse reactions
• Provide comprehensive patient and family education regarding surgical site care, medication regimens, lifestyle adjustments, and postoperative care
• Handle accurate and timely documentation, consent forms, lab results, and procedural charting
• Collaborate seamlessly with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in NY
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/procedural and sedation experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent patient communication and education skills
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
