Current opening is for an experienced Cath Lab RN, offering not just the chance to work in a facility with 7 state-of-the-art cath labs, but to collaborate with an expert interdisciplinary team that includes 24/7 RTs, hospitalists, intensivists, NPs, fellows, and cardiologists. Your time off will present opportunities to explore Kentucky’s equestrian trails, boutique shops, or simply relax and recharge in tranquil settings.
Schedule/Hours:
- 0700-1930 shifts
- Rotating on-call responsibility: 1-2 weeknight calls per week, 1-2 call weekends per schedule cycle
- Weekend call: 0700 Saturday – 0700 Monday (30-minute response time)
- Holiday and RTO requirements based on unit needs
- Scheduling in 6-week increments
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- At least 2 years Cath Lab RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications (RCIS or CI preferred, not required)
- Experience preferred in ICU (1+ year) or Cardiac Stepdown (2-3 years)
- Proficient with cardiac monitoring and sedation
- Travel experience required (not accepting first-time travelers)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert patient care for mostly adult cardiac patients
- Monitor and administer sedation per protocols
- Respond to emergent and scheduled cases, including on-call rotations
- Float support as needed to University Hospital or EP Lab
- Collaborate with a fully staffed team, ensuring safe and seamless care
