Cath Lab (RN) in Denville, NJ

Specialized nursing professionals are sought for an exciting opportunity in a Cath Lab setting. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in critical cardiac care while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Schedule options include:

• Four 10-hour shifts: 6:30am – 5:30pm
• Five 8-hour shifts: 6:30am – 2:30pm
• Participation in 10–15 on-call shifts per month for STEMI and stroke coverage

Key qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted RN license
• Previous experience in a Cath Lab or similar high-acuity environment
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Proficiency in emergency protocols and interventional cardiac procedures
• Ability to effectively manage fast-paced, emergent patient care situations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-focused approach

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and other procedures
• Monitoring patient status and vital signs throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Preparing and maintaining sterile field and specialized equipment according to best practices
• Facilitating clear and compassionate patient and family communication regarding procedures and post-care
• Rapidly responding to code situations and supporting advanced cardiac life support protocols
• Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to facility and regulatory requirements
• Participating in on-call rotations, providing swift, expert care for STEMI and stroke alerts
