Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact eligible state
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a busy Cath Lab setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity teams
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Monitor patient status and vital signs before, during, and after cardiac catheterizations
- Collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists, technologists, and ancillary staff
- Deliver patient education and emotional support throughout procedures and recovery
- Maintain aseptic technique, assist with equipment, and ensure accurate documentation
- Respond rapidly to emergencies, demonstrating strong clinical judgment
