Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab in Huntington Beach, CA

Step into a dynamic and highly skilled environment as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This contract opportunity is ideal for nurses passionate about advanced cardiovascular care and procedural excellence. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team, supporting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and providing exceptional patient care from admission through post-procedure recovery.

Schedule/Hours:

• 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• ON CALL required 10 days per month (including at least 4 weekend days: Friday, Saturday, or Sunday)
• Please ensure full awareness and availability for all on-call requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a Cath Lab environment
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong clinical skills in EKG interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and assisting with complex procedures
• Familiarity with conscious sedation and post-procedure recovery protocols
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• Flexibility to meet on-call needs, particularly covering weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with and circulate during a variety of cardiac catheterization procedures
• Monitor patient status, administer medications and support interventions as needed for optimal patient outcomes
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, safe, and efficient care delivery
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, care plans, and recovery
