Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab in Long Beach, CA

A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Registered Nurse to support a busy Cardiac Catheterization Lab environment. This contract role is ideal for candidates with strong critical care skills and a commitment to outstanding cardiac patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

• 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• On-call required: 10 days per month (minimum of 4 weekend days—Friday, Saturday, or Sunday)
• Candidates must be fully aware and accepting of the on-call requirements prior to applying

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Solid Cath Lab experience in acute care settings
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac procedures, vascular interventions, and emergency response
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
• Familiarity with monitoring, sedation administration, and post-procedural care

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care throughout cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab
• Monitor patient status, vital signs, and comfort before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary clinicians for procedural support
• Respond promptly to emergencies and code situations
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold all safety and infection control protocols
• Provide on-call coverage to ensure critical patient needs are met after hours
