Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab | Madison, Mississippi

Step into an exciting role providing specialized care within a dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses who excel in high-acuity cardiac settings and are comfortable working collaboratively to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Schedule:

• Day shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Five 8-hour shifts per week (5x8s)
• On-call commitment: 2 nights per week and 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 8-week schedule minimum
• Flexibility to cover call and/or work during holidays as needed

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with current credentials
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting required
• Proficient in moderate sedation administration
• Strong background in hemodynamic monitoring and circulating cardiac procedures
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records
• Scrubbing experience is preferred but not required
• Candidates must comply with a 50-mile radius rule

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert nursing care throughout various cardiac procedures within the Cath Lab, collaborating closely with physicians and allied health professionals
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data and vital signs during procedures, ensuring rapid response to any changes
• Circulate and assist in a wide range of interventional cardiac procedures, maintaining high standards of aseptic technique and patient safety
• Administer moderate sedation and monitor patient responses, adhering to protocols
• Utilize Epic software for comprehensive patient documentation and workflow management
• Participate actively in the on-call rotation and demonstrate flexibility to work during holidays as needed
