Schedule/Hours:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00am–5:30pm)
- Call required after one-week orientation (12–15 days per 6-week schedule, including two weekends)
- Call times: Weekdays 5:30am–7:00am, weekends 7:00am–7:00am
Qualifications:
- Active RN License from PA State Board required
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
- Experience reviewing patient charts, allergies, medications, and consents
- Skilled in maintaining sterile technique, circulating, and scrubbing roles
- Familiarity with Point-of-Care testing equipment and contrast administration
- Preferred: Knowledge of congenital heart disease, advanced assessment skills, and care for critically ill pediatric patients (neonates through adolescents)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cath lab rooms and emergency equipment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, APPs, technologists, and anesthesia
- Provide hands-on assistance during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care throughout all procedure phases
