Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab | Millbrook, Alabama

Embark on a rewarding opportunity in a dynamic Cath Lab environment providing specialized nursing care to cardiovascular patients. This contract role begins August 17th and is designed for experienced Registered Nurses eager to advance their skills and impact patient lives with expert clinical support.

Schedule:

• 3 x 12-hour day shifts weekly
• 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current RN license in good standing
• Minimum one year of recent experience as an RN in a Cath Lab
• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS) certifications required
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Confidence with cath lab procedures, monitoring hemodynamics, and responding to emergencies
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced settings

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, interventions, and electrophysiology procedures
• Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs, and recognize early warning signs of complications
• Assist physicians during procedures and maintain a sterile field
• Prepare patients and families for procedures, offering education and emotional support
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and documentation standards
• Coordinate patient recovery and post-procedure monitoring
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility policies
