Advance your career in cardiac care by bringing your specialized expertise to a dedicated Cath Lab setting. Seeking a registered nurse well-versed in cardiovascular interventions to serve as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team. This contract assignment offers an engaging environment where clinical skills and critical thinking make a real impact on patient outcomes.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Day shift
  • On call one night per week
  • On call one weekend per month

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
  • Minimum of 3 years RN experience; at least 1 year in critical care
  • At least 2 years’ experience, including cardiovascular intervention
  • Current WI or Compact RN license
  • Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • EKG proficiency and successful completion of test
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply the nursing process and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Conduct assessments, create care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with policies, procedures, and nursing standards
  • Ensure thorough and accurate documentation in line with facility and regulatory guidelines
  • Educate patients and families, tailoring information to individual needs and comprehension levels
  • Participate in performance improvement and support department initiatives, including shared governance
  • Respond decisively in critical situations, escalating issues as necessary and providing guidance to team members
  • Contribute to policy development and evidence-based practice guidelines
  • Support peer review and feedback, along with continuous professional learning and growth
