Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab - Newfield, New York

• Contract-based assignment

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Demonstrated experience in Cath Lab nursing
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
• Comprehensive knowledge of cardiac procedures, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Competency in managing emergency situations within the Cath Lab environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians during catheterization procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs and overall condition before, during, and after procedures
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field while adhering to infection control protocols
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies as directed
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, care plans, and aftercare
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and interventions in electronic medical records
