Step into a vital nursing role supporting cardiac care as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Cath Lab. In this position, your expertise will be pivotal to patient safety and successful procedural outcomes. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will assist in cardiac catheterization and monitor patients throughout their procedures, all while upholding best practices for high-quality care.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract-based role; specific work hours will be provided during the interview process.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • Prior experience in a Cath Lab environment required
  • Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, hemodynamic assessment, and procedural assistive techniques
  • Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control practices
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and care teams
  • Current certification in BLS and ACLS

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization, providing clear explanations and emotional support
  • Administer medications and monitor sedation levels as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation throughout procedures
  • Closely observe and assess patients before, during, and after interventions
  • Operate specialized Cath Lab equipment and ensure all supplies are stocked and ready
  • Respond quickly to emergencies, demonstrating expertise in critical care management
  • Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and ancillary staff to deliver seamless patient care
