Exciting opportunity available for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Cath Lab settings. This contract assignment offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic healthcare environment focused on excellence in patient care.

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week
  • 4 ten-hour shifts weekly
  • 8-week contract
  • 8 days of on-call required, including 1 weekend on call every 4 weeks

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • At least 2 years of recent nursing experience, with a focus in Cath Lab
  • Prior Cath Lab travel experience strongly preferred
  • Valid ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to respond effectively in urgent situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Administer medications and monitor patient status throughout procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other care team members to ensure quality outcomes
  • Adhere to strict safety and infection control guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Cerner EMR
  • Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call coverage as required
  • Support patient and family education regarding procedures, recovery, and follow-up care
